Mrs. Melissa Manzano could not be more excited to be conducting the All-South Jersey Elementary Choir. In her 14th year of teaching, and 9th year in West Deptford, Mrs. Manzano teaches Choir, General Music, Theater, and Roots of Pop Music. Additionally, she is the advisor to Eagletones: a traveling select choir, Co-Advisor to the WDMS Grove Road Players, and the Area Coordinator for the STEAM Department at West Deptford Middle School.  She serves on the West Deptford District Equity Committee, SJCDA/SJBODA Collaboration Committee, and has recently been named to the NJMEA Strategic Planning Committee. Mrs. Manzano has both a BA in Music and Theatre ('07) and completed her Teacher Prep Program ('11) at Rutgers University. She holds a M.A.Ed in Teacher Leadership ('23) from Strayer University, and is currently pursuing her NJ Supervisor Certification from Rowan University. 

Mrs. Manzano resides in South Jersey with her amazingly supportive and encouraging husband and their four children. She is over the moon to be conducting this choir as a former All-South singer from 1997-2002 singing under the supreme direction of some amazing music teachers. A special thank you to her music teacher mom, for instilling a love of music that knew no bounds.
